Assigned to the Ecole de Paris. He was one of the last painters that will help schools in the Paris-based trend. He said that his manner of painting "is mainly to search for material."
He was also an outstanding designer and rysownikiem many mosaics and stained-glass windows for churches in France.
He was born in Ukraine. Early orphaned by his mother, raised under the guidance of his father and family in Warsaw. He walked to the first drawing courses. In 1912, returns to Czutow and two years later, begins teaching at the School of Fine Arts in Mirgorod. Poznawał Impressionist painting, and discovered kubistów Cezanne. The war stopped learning. Soon going to Russia. Stops in Athens, where he is studying at the School of Fine Arts (1919-1921), and Greece has seen as the cradle of European culture and art, formed his artistic consciousness. Then travels to Naples (1922 - first exhibition of his drawings and gwaszy) and to Rome, in 1923, a permanent residence in Paris. He goes to the studio mosaic "Gentile and Bourde" and then (1927-1945) worked at the famous stained glass designer Jean Gaudin. His fascination with stained-glass windows created by a combination of monumental painting, drawing and composition excellence colors, but also discouraged, because the limited opportunities to experiment and create new standards.
At the end of the 20s Stanisław Eleszkiewicz back to painting, and after the Second World War, deals with the maintenance of gainfully images.
Many of his works can be found in private collections, among others Mieczyslaw Lurczyński, Wojciech Fibak and Adalbert Borzobochatego.
For the life of the artist had several individual exhibitions, among others on the Paris Salons in the second half of the 20s as well as in galleries Art du Montparnasse (1928-1930), Drouot-Provence (1944, 1945, 1951). Between 70 presented several of his achievements in Paris, for example, in Versailles (1975) and in the U.S. Lipert Gallery (1986).
His expressive paintings were often generic scenes of provincial towns, portraits of people with "social margin" - the poor, the homeless, single ( "apaszów head"). He painted landscapes and mysterious aura and symbolic compositions, approaching the surrealism. In the autobiography left confesses that his "way of painting was to work from memory, on the interpretation."
