Painter, a master of drawing and calligraphy, an outstanding representative of Polish poster art, designer, creator of the Theater Drawing, art collector. He studied at the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts in the studios of Wojciech Weiss and Adam Marczyńskiego (1949-1952), and then in Warsaw, where he obtained a diploma in the studio of Michael Byliny (1955). Became famous in the world posters (mostly film and theater), has created approximately 300 One of the first work was "Crying GOŁĄBEK Peace" (1956), read as a gesture of solidarity with the emergence of Spanish.
In his work you can see the Baroque fascination with the culture and the human body. Vitality and sensuality of women's violence is often accompanied by reflection on the fragility, transience, death. He is also a teacher, taught in the Knut Hochshule in West Berlin, he taught at the European Academy of Art in Warsaw.
