Experiments painting, which appears in the form of a circle begun in 1957. The first presentation of this exhibition was a series of "Study of space 'in the living room" new culture "in Warsaw in 1958. The author has shown there a number of images associated spatial dependence, representing a broad streaks horizontally, vertically, circular and elliptical crescent - all soft in the background color. Since 1963 the circle was dominated by a form of work Fangor, becoming the most characteristic sign of his work. Artist now focused on the creation of a positive illusory, achieved through the apparent impression of movement, to have the eye looking pulsating rozedrgane shapes. These issues Fangor to develop the mid seventies.

Presented image is a great example of the works from this period. It was painted in 1970, the artist exhibited in kiedyto Guggenheim Museum in New York. Fangor there showed 37 paintings, prekursorskich for exploration in the western area op-art. It was the first and the only Polish artist exhibition in this museum, one of the most prestigious in the world.

The picture was exhibited in the gallery Chalette in New York. Gallery was founded in 1954 by Madeleine Chalette Lejwa that in a fairly short period of time focused on each other the most significant artists of the twentieth century dlasztuki, such as Hans Arp, Georges Braque, Marc Chagall and Pablo Picasso. The galleries also display the number of Polish artists, among others. Wojciech Fangor, Stefan Gierowski, Jan Lebenstein, Bronislaw Kierzkowski. Many images from the gallery Chalette provenance were placed on a famous exhibition of 1961, "15 Polish Painters" at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, where he also presented the work of three Fangor.
